A cherished milestone of a financial planner is to walk into a room of your peers, watching all of the reconnections, and realizing that you, in fact, see familiar faces that you need to go say hi to. That moment when you say, “These are my people. I had conversations I haven’t had in a very long time,” as past attendee Brennan Vitali put it, is the feedback we hear most after XYPN LIVE wraps.. And so much of what XYPN LIVE has set out to create is that feeling of belonging. That’s true if it’s your first time, or you’ve attended every year (we see you, Pam Horack).

Want to learn from other fee-only advisors on how to grow your firm? XYPN LIVE is the fastest-growing event of the year for folks like you, and registration is open. Get your pass today →

The work that goes into that feeling is more than just a matter of inviting the biggest names. So much of what industry conferences promise is delivering actionable content that’s tailored to the advisor's firm and a chance to brush shoulders with industry celebrities like the Michael Kitces and the Carl Richards of the financial planning world. And yes, if you’ve already seen the speaker lineup, you’ll know that both of those could-be meetings are very much possible. But when the value of attending a conference is the ability to return to your firm refreshed, XYPN LIVE stands out.

The lineup of speakers taking the stage in Austin, TX, from September 25-27 is something special. Yes, there are big names. Yes, there are fresh new faces. And yes, for whatever way you learn best, there’s a format for you. It’s a schedule made up of experts who are putting in the research, doing the work day-to-day in their own firms, and building the next generation of tech solutions for the problems advisors are facing. And it’s all live.

So, in the spirit of welcoming in the new, a special thanks is due to the eight members of the advisory board. They shaped the schedule from the advisor's perspective, ushering in the content that meets real advisors in the real situations they face. And we’re as excited as they are to share the can’t-miss sessions that stood out among the rest.

Sample Schedules

A huge driver of that XYPN LIVE feeling lies in those unplanned, unscripted conversations. The ones that happen while getting scanned into that workshop you’ve been eyeing, that are harder than ever to recreate in the wild.

If we zoom out from the hand-selected lineup, for a minute, you’ll start to see a pattern. That is, a schedule that encourages you to stretch yourself and look behind the hood at the tools, tech, and teams that inspire you. And it’s one that invites you to come back at the close of each day to connect with other advisors in the ways that matter most—whether that’s pickup basketball or a girls’ night in.

Here’s a small sample of the kind of sessions that make up the experience, depending on what hat you’re wearing at the moment:

For those wearing on their COO Hat:
  1. Health Insurance for the Self-Employed | with Matthew Allen
  2. Continuity by Design: Lessons From and For Solo Firms | with Brenna Baucum and Andrew Gray
