Chris is the founder of WELLth Financial Planning and WELLthPro Advisor Services.
Chris began his career as an investment analyst specializing in asset allocation and due diligence, creating custom research and strategies for other advisors and hedge funds.
An enthusiastic student of the market, Chris completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Market Technician (CMT), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations before age 30. He climbed the ranks to become the lead portfolio manager for an independent advisory firm in Pittsburgh, charged with strategy development and portfolio management for the firm’s $200 million book of business.
Chris’s mind rarely took breaks, publishing algorithms to win the Charles H. Dow Award in 2019 for his seminal work, “Making the Most of Panic,” which proposed quantitative methods to identify extreme negative sentiment within equity markets as well as the often coinciding buying opportunities during market panics.
In 2020, he founded WELLth Financial Planning to deliver comprehensive financial planning to those hailing from Generations X and Y. He then opened WELLthPro Advisor Services in 2025 to assist other advisors in creating and optimizing the strategies and models used with their own clients.
Chris views the process of investment management with strict empiricism. If a tool, strategy, or method of analysis cannot be tested and/or validated, it should not be used. Chris looks forward to sharing his thoughts and knowledge on how to create evidence-based, defendable, tactical asset allocation processes.
