This workshop uses the Working Genius framework to build self-awareness around your natural strengths, frustrations, and leadership tendencies, whether you are preparing for your first hire or leading an established team.

Through a pre-session assessment and guided discussion, you’ll identify the types of work that energize you, the responsibilities that drain you, and how those patterns shape your communication, delegation, and decision-making. You’ll use that insight to better understand the teammates you already lead or to clarify what strengths your future hires should bring, so you build a team that complements your working style instead of duplicating it. You’ll learn how different working styles work together in practice and how to lead in a way that supports clarity, trust, and sustainable performance as your firm grows.

Designing Your Accountability Structure

Strong leaders don’t just manage people, they create clarity around ownership. Many hiring decisions and performance frustrations are driven by urgency: too many emails, too many onboarding clients, or teammates stretched thin without clear ownership. Urgency is often a symptom of unclear structure, not just a staffing problem.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use XYPN’s accountability tracking framework to map every major responsibility inside your firm, evaluate who owns it, and identify where time, skill, and energy are misaligned. Rather than jumping straight to a job description or performance fix, you’ll define the outcomes each role is responsible for, the authority required to deliver them, and how those roles support your firm’s future direction.

Through guided exercises and breakout collaboration, you’ll build a leadership structure that supports both intentional hiring and stronger day-to-day management.

Collaborative peer discussions will help you translate your firm’s culture and values into sustainable benefits, attracting and retaining top talent.
