More Than a New Brand: The Evolution of XYPN

You may have noticed that we've updated our look and feel to reflect the proven leader XYPN has become. As our Network of over 1,950 fee-for-service financial planners continues to expand, so do our horizons. But our goal remains the same: to empower you to build the firm of your dreams with complete autonomy.

For those who like a good growth story:

In 2014, Alan Moore and Michael Kitces disrupted the financial industry by showing that independent, fee-for-service financial planning was not only possible but also profitable. Wanting to share their success and make financial planning more widely accessible, they made their mission clear: Help others live their great lives.

To do so, they created XYPN, a turnkey advice-planning platform that enables fee-for-service financial planners to practice entrepreneurship. It includes all the tools needed to succeed: education and training, community, curated technology, compliance support, back-office and client support services, and ongoing advocacy efforts.

They made it affordable by removing percentages, payouts, and commissions from standard membership and making it completely autonomous with a guarantee that members who were not satisfied could leave at any time with 100% of their clients, revenue, data, and business.

Over the years, we grew our team and network, sharpened our tools, and deepened our knowledge of what it takes to build a dream firm through data-backed studies on firm journey revenue and client growth. We’ve developed a path to success based on the combined experience and expertise of our team members and experts. XYPN Academy provides guidance, processes, and workflows for every stage of the firm's journey—from launch to growth and scaling, and all the best practices in between.

As we entered this new life cycle, our vantage broadened and so did our shoulders. The “leather jacket” that fit us so well as an industry disruptor felt a little snug. So we put away our jackets, so to speak, and revisited our vision, goals, and look.

While we look and sound a little more authoritative, our supporters will be glad to know we decided to keep the jeans and shirt and share in our excitement as we expand our proven success model to more advisors who are ready to start living their great lives—with no strings attached.
