About Timothy Kenney CFP®

I help active people who want to build a secure future for themselves and their families. I started Seawise Financial to be a truly independent destination for people that want unbiased advice to help fulfill their financial goals and dreams.

I have been involved in financial services for 20 years. I started on the institutional side of the industry and was the Senior Fixed Income Trader at LPL Financial in La Jolla, CA. There I helped financial advisors and their clients construct and review their fixed income portfolios. I transitioned to helping clients with their financial goals and spent the next six years as a financial planner and portfolio manager for teams at Wells Fargo Advisors and UBS. I also spent 4 years as a Wealth Manager with USAA and advised over 150 households with ties to the military.

I have lived in San Diego virtually my whole life and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego. I am an avid surfer and have traveled to areas such as Central America, the Caribbean, the South Pacific and Indonesia in search of waves. I also enjoy reading, music and watching local sports teams. My wife Jenna and I live in Cardiff-by-the-Sea with our two dogs.
