Robert Stromberg, CFP® Mountain River Financial, LLC

About Robert Stromberg, CFP®

My name is Rob Stromberg. I’m a CFP® and the founder of Mountain River Financial. I provide fiduciary and fee-only advice, investment management, and financial planning to six-figure earners in their 30s and 40s. I focus on helping clients make wise and purposeful decisions with their money so they can live a rewarding life today while building wealth for a successful tomorrow.

I started in the financial industry almost 10 years ago when I joined the research team of Symmetry Partners, an institutional wealth management firm in Connecticut. From my position in research, I advanced to the Business Development team where I eventually became a Regional Consultant. As Regional Consultant, I led a team responsible for helping advisors in the Midwest design better quality, lower-cost portfolios and develop more client-centric practices. My team covered advisors with over $1 billion in Symmetry-managed (& sub-managed) assets.

With insight gained from my time behind the scenes of other advisory firms, I left Symmetry and got my CFP® certification before founding Mountain River Financial. Mountain River is a fiduciary and fee-only planning & wealth management firm dedicated to helping clients find and maintain financial peace-of-mind.

I’m an active member of NAPFA and the XY planning network and am a frequent contributor to publications including US News & World Report, The Washington Post, Investment News, CNN Business, and Yahoo! Finance.

Above all else, I’m committed to being the best husband and dad I can be. When I’m not manning the helm at Mountain River, you’ll find me enjoying quality time with my wife Kara, son Noah, and our dog Autumn. We love traveling, spending time outdoors, hanging with family, and going to see live music. I also enjoy volunteering at the Briar Bush Nature Center where I guide hiking tours for kids.
