Over the years I’ve had the privilege to work with a wide variety of clients, from multi-generational high net-worth clients to volunteering and working with low income families. These experiences have taught me that the need of working with a financial planner should not be dictated by how much money you have, but the desire and motivation to want to live a fruitful life. Every family can benefit from working with a financial planner. With proper financial education, money can be used as a resource to turn your dreams into a reality.
CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO…
My professional experience at wealth management firms gave me the opportunity to work with top-notch seasoned colleagues and great clients. During my time at various firms, I constantly had personal friends, acquaintances of my husband, and young professionals in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who were hitting their stride in their career reach out to me to ask, “can I become your client?” Too often my answer was unfortunately, no.
THE CALLING TO WORK WITH MY GENERATION…
Most firms that offer comprehensive financial planning have investible asset minimums that my friends and acquaintances didn’t meet. They are then forced to go elsewhere for advice and are often ‘sold’ financial products that in many cases, might not be right for them.
I’ve created YGC to bring financial planning to my peers to set them on a new financial trajectory through an affordable monthly retainer. A firm that is dedicated to getting your financial household in order, and having intentional conversations around the impact you want to make in your personal and professional life. On a personal note, when I am not “in the office” serving YGC clients or the community of NexGen financial planners, I am actively searching for the perfect puppy to join our home, finding new places to excite our taste buds, or researching our next international country to explore. I have been deemed the financial steward of our household and my husband the technology guru. When he is not helping me with my technology woes, he is working for Deloitte Consulting creating technical and analytical solutions for various clients. We are a house divided when it comes to sports teams, but will always remain #teamD.
