About Paul Saad, CFP ®, MBA

In 2004, after a successful career in corporate sales, Paul decided that he wanted to try something new. Becoming a financial advisor was a perfect fit, because it combined his background in finance with a desire to have a more personal impact on clients. He realized that instead of returning to a corporate environment, he would enjoy helping individuals and their families succeed by guiding them through often complex personal and financial issues.

Working for the Global Wealth Management group of a leading Wall Street firm allowed him to gain valuable experience and learn much about the entire industry. However, eventually, he realized that he could best serve his clients through an independent business model that eliminated conflicts of interest and allowed for greater intimacy and objectivity. So he founded Collabria in 2012.

Born and raised in Montreal, Paul now lives in Danville, California with his wife Kathy and their dog Bear. Their three adult children are “out of nest” and busy launching their own careers/lives. Whenever possible, the whole crew likes to get together to enjoy all the great things the Pacific Northwest (and now North East!) has to offer.

Paul has a bachelor’s degree in economics from McGill University, Montreal (Canada) a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University Western Ontario (Canada) and a Certificate In Financial Planning from UC Berkeley.

Prior to co-founding Collabria in 2012, he spent 8 years as a financial advisor, including 5 years with Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth Management Group. His professional experience also includes providing consultative solutions to the Financial Services industry, as well as financial analysis at a foreign investment bank.
