About Nick Reilly, CFP®

Nick founded One Day Advice so that he could combine his experience and background as a Certified Financial Planner™ with his passion for technology and helping others achieve more out of life. He understands that everyone’s financial literacy is different and he believes that everyone deserves simple, unbiased, and actionable advice.

Nick grew up with a financial advisor as a father and learned at a young age how to control and leverage his relationship with money. After studying finance and obtaining the Certified Financial Planner™ designation, he worked as a financial advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors and a Financial Planner for Cornerstone Advisors. While at Cornerstone, he personally met with and performed financial planning for the ultra-wealthy (Fortune 100 executives, angel investors, and highly successful leaders in technology). He would work with their CPA’s around tax preparation and tax strategies, their attorneys for estate planning and formulating trusts, provide cash flow management, and guidance around insurance and investment management. While he enjoyed gaining the experience working with these types of clients, he wanted the chance to work more with people who were in the earlier part of the wealth-building stage of their lives where his advice could have the longest and deepest impact.

Over the years working with clients, Nick noticed how inconvenient it was for many in the early stage or peak of their careers, to get away from work and meet with their financial planner at the advisor’s office. That is why he has decided to provide his clients with flexible hours and the option to get together virtually or in-person. That way they can crush their finances, continue to gain momentum in their careers, and spend more time doing the things they love with the people they love.

Outside of work, Nick loves to spend time with his wife Andreea. Together they enjoy playing card and board games, and depending on the season will be hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, or playing tennis. Nick also loves to play basketball every week and ping-pong whenever he has the chance.
