About Mychal Eagleson, CFP®, ChSNC®, AAMS®
Hello! I’m Mychal Eagleson and I’m the President of An Exceptional Life Financial. I founded my firm to be an expert resource for Teachers, committed to serving their unique needs, working through their concerns, and helping them make the most of their finances. My passion is on making an impact in the lives of all the clients I serve, regardless of income or investment level. Everyone deserves a financial professional who has their back to partner with in utilizing their finances to achieve their dreams!
I began my career in the financial services industry 2008 and since then have provided financial planning and investment management to clients throughout the Midwest. I’ve worked for multiple financial firms over the years, including two Fortune 500 companies and a dedicated Private Client Group. I earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation from the College for Financial Planning in 2011, my Bachelor of Science in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2012, a Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University and the Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2013. Along with financial planning, I currently serve on the Board of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Indiana as the Director for Public Relations & Social Media and on the Board of the Pike Township Education Foundation as a member of multiple committees.
My wife Emily and I reside in Pike Township on the northwest side of Indianapolis. We are both passionate supporters of our local school district. Emily works as an elementary Special Education Teacher, and I help students in Pike High School’s Business & IT Department along with my work with the Pike Township Educational Foundation. We both also proudly support the work of the the Eagle Creek Park Foundation, Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Gleaners Food Bank, and WFYI.
In my spare time, I enjoy staying active through Taekwondo, and hiking with our two dogs (Maddie & Jax), reading, and projects around the house. I’m also a major foodie and am always excited to try a new place to eat.
Why I do what I do…
“My definition of success is that every person I come in contact with finds a better path… that I can say something or do something that gets them thinking about where they want to go and how they want to get there. It’s the impact I hope to make on people” – Deena Katz
