About Michael Schupak, CFP®

My Story – Financial planning and investing can be both intimidating and overwhelming. I want to be there to help you understand your financial picture, plan for the future and prevent costly mistakes that you may regret down the road.

I’m patient, detail oriented and enjoy teaching others. Being left brain dominant, I have a love for probability and numbers. I enjoy reading the latest white papers on investing and appreciate the variety that comes with each financial planning engagement.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and spending time with my wife. We are avid skiers and she has spread her travel bug to me over time. I strive to eat healthy but burgers and pizza occasionally get in the way. I’m a big NY Jets fan and always up for a game of chess, basketball or a round of golf.

Professional Background – I worked in the corporate world at both start-up and fortune 500 companies for over 10 years in: financial planning & analysis, tax, insurance, accounting, debt financing and treasury. I lived in Scranton, PA (as “The Office” gained popularity) before moving to Chicago for a few years and eventually back to New York City. Ultimately, I decided to pursue my passion, financial planning, and pivot from helping corporations plan and improve their finances to serving individuals and families. I’ve earned a Certificate of Financial Planning from Boston University, completed the Financial Planning Association Residency Program and I am a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional.
