About Jane Yoo, CFP®, MBA
You’re a Superstar Gen X or Millennial Woman. You’ve worked hard and ascended to a mid-level or senior role at a public (or soon-to-be-public) Bay Area company. You’ve dutifully contributed to your 401(k) over the years. And you have a basic understanding of your equity comp, whether stock options, RSUs, and/or ESPP.
I work with high-earning women who are ignored by traditional financial advisors. These advisors require a hefty minimum portfolio ($1M is common in the Bay Area), and the financial advice is often limited to your investments. Instead of charging a percentage of your portfolio, I charge a retainer that’s based on your income and net worth. And instead of focusing solely on your investments, I provide comprehensive financial planning and tax return preparation. My goal is to provide value that exceeds the fee.
Before launching Jane Financial in 2017, I spent four years at Aspiriant, a leading wealth management firm serving corporate executives. I’ve also worked at the Social Security Administration and Vanguard. I have a BA from Bryn Mawr College, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
I’m a proud aunt, and my cat, Zoe, is the apple of my eye. I enjoy all things Star Wars: films, TV shows, books, and comics. Finally, incorporating mindfulness into my life helps me be better financial planner, friend, sister, and aunt.
