About Diana Bacon, CFP®, CDFA

Diana started her financial planning career in 1998 working with corporate executives. These executives’ financial planning needs were income tax planning, income tax preparation, investment, planning, charity giving planning, estate tax planning, and risk management. As corporations laid off executives, Diana had the opportunity to work with new business owners, entrepreneurs, and retirees. Another organic expansion of Diana’s work with clients was working with clients through their divorces and consulting on their property division. She has worked with many clients and their families long enough to assist with assets passing through the estate plans she once advised on. This allows the family members who are executors and trustees to focus on family and grief while Diana works with the attorneys and tax professionals. She also enjoys the time she spends with client’s children teaching them budgeting, about income taxes, how to manage their own finances. It allows for a smooth transition off “family payroll” to true independent.

Diana also works with entrepreneurs to ensure their personal and professional ventures are focused. Entrepreneurs need to be careful to safeguard their financial health while still pursuing their passion, as she guides and coaches business owners through decisions and changes.

Diana especially enjoys working with women going through life and/or work transitions, helping make their transitions easier and empowering them to make careful, educated decisions.

Diana’s education took her all over the country. Born and raised in San Diego, CA. Diana has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from University at Albany, SUNY and a MBA from Dallas Baptist University. She also spent several years in Northern California at California State University, Chico while studying Mathematics. Diana lives with her husband and their two daughters in Dallas. She is a CrossFit Kids coach and Sunday School teacher. She dedicates many hours to various Dallas charities every year.
