About David McCary, CFP®, CRI®

David W. McCary, CFP®, CRI®, MBA, owner and principal of McCary Anheuser Wealth Management, LLC, is a Certified Financial Planner professional with over 18 years’ experience as lead advisor to a virtual single family office. He is currently expanding his financial planning and investment advising practice to include business owners, commercial real estate owners, and ultra-high net worth families seeking to create family wealth across generations in a tax efficient manner. His practice is virtual and therefore available to clients living in all 50 states; he also provides annual in-person meetings at over 1,000 Regus offices located in most major metropolitan areas.

David graduated from Dartmouth College’s Amos Tuck School of Business in 1987 with a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance, graduating with the Arnold F. Adams Entrepreneurship award. Prior to that, he graduated from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT with a degree in Economics. David is also a member of the following financial planning and investment advising associations: Alliance of Comprehensive Planners (ACP); National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA); Financial Planners Association (FPA); Society of Financial Professionals (FSP); XY Planning Network (XYPN); and the Advisor Growth Community (AGC).

David currently sits on the following three endowment Boards of Directors advising them on their investment portfolios: 1) University of Hartford Art School; 2) Episcopal Bishop of Connecticut Endowment; and 3) the Colt Family Bequest.

David also enjoys skiing (finishing his 11th year as a PSIA Certified ski instructor), photography (professional landscape and wildlife photographer at www.dwmccary.com), hiking (www.becominga46er.com), biking, fishing, hunting, diving, golf, and he received his private pilot license while living in New York City in the 1980’s.

David lives in West Hartford with his wife, Tina, and together they have three adult children, Rob, Lindsay and Charlotte.
