About Dan Haines, CFP®, CFA®

I co-founded SummitView Advisors with a mission to help busy professionals and business owners make the most of their finances. I know from personal experience how the demands of work and family life leave little time to spend on making key financial decisions.

Do you:
-Receive stock options and RSUs but aren’t sure how to manage them?
-Want to figure out how to exit your business and transition to retirement?
-Have a 401(k) and other investments but aren’t sure if your portfolio is being managed correctly?
-Want to be tax-savvy in all your financial decisions?

By partnering with my clients, I help them identify their goals and decide on the best steps to take toward achieving them. This allows them to free up their time and energy to spend elsewhere.

Prior to co-founding SummitView Advisors, I worked for two multi-billion-dollar advisory firms where I focused on building tailored portfolios for clients. After working at these larger organizations, I wanted to start a firm where I could give a more personalized experience and specialize in who I worked with.

Credentials:
-CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner
-CFA® charterholder
-MBA from the University of Notre Dame
-BA from Calvin College

I work with clients throughout Michigan and virtually across the US.
When not working with clients, my wife and I spend most of our time chasing around after our two young daughters. We also enjoy hiking along the lakeshore, playing a quick nine holes, and trying to find the best Tex-Mex restaurant at whatever city we are in.
