About Dan Andrews, CFP®

With unique experience working with millennials, Dan has served clients of all ages and backgrounds since 2012. Coming from an independent fee-only financial planning background, he joined Financial Planning Fort Collins in early 2020 as the Director of Estate and Financial Planning. Dan enjoys guiding and encouraging clients to improve their financial literacy and while living well-rounded lives. His behavioral-finance style focuses on helping individuals create their own definitions of success, make good decisions, and be philanthropic along their journeys.

Dan graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Hospitality Management. His career includes working at luxury Aspen resorts, Walt Disney World, a Wealth Management firm in Denver, as an assistant football coach for a Fort Collins middle school, and running his own financial planning firm until joining the Financial Planning Fort Collins team.

In addition to his professional activities, Dan practices what he preaches by giving back to his local and global communities. With a focus on helping local non-profits improve their operations, Dan has been involved as the Vice President for the XY Planning Network Diversity Committee, the Public Relations Director for Colorado’s Financial Planning Association, and has volunteered for Social Venture Partners Denver, Meals on Wheels Fort Collins, and San Diego Zoo Global.

On a personal note, in 2013, Dan met his wife Lauren in Colorado. Lauren and Dan married in 2018 and share their home with their son, Quinn, and their blue heeler/jack russell terrier, Bogie. Dan’s interests include pinball, tennis, travel, and disc golf.
