Bob Rall, CFP®

About Bob Rall, CFP®

Bob has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his financial career with Prudential Insurance, where he gained valuable knowledge and experience that allows him to help clients make sure that their various insurance policies are structured properly to protect their assets. While at Prudential, he was introduced to the investment side of the financial services industry and quickly learned that this is where his passion lies.

After three years with Prudential, he followed his passion and joined the Dean Witter brokerage firm in Cocoa Beach. He spent the next six years in the brokerage world, helping clients develop and manage their investment portfolios. His desire to help clients beyond their investments led him to complete the educational and experience requirements to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 1998.

Bob had a passion for the financial markets, and enjoyed the relationships he had developed with his clients, but his disdain for the culture of Wall Street led him to join an independent, fee-only financial planning and investment management firm in 2000. He spent the next four years managing client portfolios and helping them to develop long-term comprehensive financial plans.

A desire to be even more independent when helping clients led him to start Rall Capital Management in September of 2004. While most advisory firms are built to cater to the ultra-high-net-worth client, Bob built Rall Capital Management to cater to an underserved segment of the market, known as the “mass-affluent.” Individuals and families of more modest means have less room for error when planning their financial futures and managing their investment portfolios. This is the group that Bob has focused on serving.

Bob is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA®) and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA®). He is a contributing writer for the Journal of Financial Planning and served on that publication’s Editorial Advisory Board for several years. He is also a recognized leader in the retirement planning field—he helped launch the FPA’s Retirement Planning Knowledge Circle and served as its host for several years.

Bob and his wife, Gina, are both active members of the local running community. Together, they have traveled to many parts of the country to run marathons. Before being slowed by a knee injury he sustained a few years ago, they had each completed more than 20 full marathons, a number of half-marathons, and they still participate in many of the local races of various distances. Bob is the President and on the Board of Space Coast Runners, a local non-profit group promoting fitness through running and walking. He served as Editor of the Club’s newsletter when it was awarded “Outstanding E-Newsletter – 2014” by the national running group, Road Runners Club of America. He was awarded the “Silver Shoe” award by Space Coast Runners in 2013 for his service and commitment to the Club.

Bob, Gina, and Bob’s adult children, Adam and Jenna, are deeply involved with Brevard County’s Special Olympics program. They all serve as certified, volunteer coaches for the track and field team. Bob and Adam also play for the Brevard County Special Olympics Unified Softball Team, which integrates special athletes and “partners” competing together. The team won the Gold Medal at the 2014 and 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, representing Team Florida. The relationships that the family has developed with our special citizens have become a very powerful part of their lives.

Bob graduated cum laude from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. Having grown up in Columbus, he is an ardent fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoys CrossFit, history and playing the piano.

One of the things he is proudest of is having built a small, independent and successful firm that allows him to work with his family as they help other families achieve their financial goals.

About Sean Gerlin, CFP®, ChFC

Envision Wealth Planners was founded based on the core values of family, honesty, and always doing what’s in the client’s best interest. I always think there is a way to make things better, and the experience that someone has with their financial planner shouldn’t be any different.

At Envision Wealth Planners we evaluate your life goals to make the most appropriate recommendations for you and your family. We use high-level software to evaluate your cash flows, tax situation, insurance needs, retirement needs, and investment goals.

I know that a person’s or family’s financial journey is one that is private, so it should be managed by someone that can leverage their expertise along with a personal touch. My process is one that won’t make you feel nervous or burdened, but rather one that can be enjoyable. The long-term relationships I develop with my clients are extremely important to me and the happiness they achieve from reaching their goals is what drives my motivation.

I believe that a person or family should feel okay with enjoying the life we have now and not feel burdened with fear that there may not be enough for tomorrow. By working together we can identify goals, develop a plan, and monitor and update that plan as necessary to achieve long-term financial security without sacrificing the things that are important today.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, cook, and play golf. I reside in Central Florida with my wife and two children but have clients all over the country. I have been involved in Florida Citrus Sports for over 10 years and have been on the Board of Directors for the Lake Nona Regional Chamber of Commerce for over 5 years.

If you are looking for objective advice or just feel a little lost sometimes when it comes to your finances, please feel free to reach out, connect, or just say hi. I’m here to help!

James Estep, CFP®, NAPFA

About James Estep, CFP®

James started his first career at a young age in the public sector as a firefighter in 1996. Years later as a result of his interest and involvement with his pension plan, a second career quickly emerged as a trusted financial advisor. “As someone that devotes his life to helping others, it only made sense that I continue this mission but just in a different way”, James explains. James enjoys helping individuals with their finances by providing comprehensive financial advice. James further explains that most of his clients are brothers and sisters in the fire and police service as well as teachers, in the Tri-County area. His in-depth experience and knowledge of Defined Benefit plans provide an advantage to his clients above other advisors across the country. “By focusing on clients that have a defined benefit plan we are able to provide our clients the value and quality they expect”, states James.

James currently resides in Cooper City, FL with his beautiful wife and his two energetic sons. He is still an active firefighter, currently occupying the position of Battalion Chief with the Miramar Fire Department. James is also the Chairman of the pension fund for the Miramar Firefighters. Early on as a trustee of the pension board, James knew that his love for financial services was something that could be shared with others. This led to James’ decision to get the formal education required to become a financial advisor.

In 2010 James had already received some experience as an advisor, but decided it was time to provide advice specifically to firefighters, police officers, and teachers by opening an independent firm with one other partner. Establishing this new firm would allow them to provide conflict free advice to their clients without having to “sell” products such as mutual funds or life insurance policies. In order to hold him and his firm to a higher standard, Mr. Estep embarked on becoming a Certified Financial Planning™ professional and successfully met the rigorous qualifications of the CFP® Board of Standards in 2012.

James continues to grow the firm mostly by word of mouth referrals. Mr. Estep explains that “financial planning involves a lot of trust in the advisor”. Mr. Estep feels that this is where he is different than every other advisor that he knows. The fact that he is a firefighter and he has chosen to be a CFP® professional provides a unique experience to the client.

Adam D. Van Wie, CFP®

About Adam D. Van Wie, CFP®

Hello. I’m Adam Van Wie, and I started Van Wie Financial with my father, Steven Van Wie, in order to help other families plan for their financial futures. As a member of Gen X with a young family myself, I know that it can be complicated to balance the demands of careers, children, saving, spending, and the million other demands on your time and money. I want to help take your financial concerns away and leave you more time to concentrate on what is really important to you.

At Van Wie Financial, we are fee-only, fiduciary financial advisors with over 20 years of combined experience in this field. We are truly independent, and wouldn’t have it any other way.

We host a weekly radio show at 10 AM every Saturday morning on WBOB in the Jacksonville market. The show can also be found on the internet, and commercial-free podcasts are available on our website or on iTunes. This is great way to get a feel for what we are all about if you are considering hiring a financial planner.

About Inga Timmerman, CFP®, Ph.D.

Do you know that being on top of your finances reduces stress and gives you a feeling of control over your life?
Are you ready to evaluate how your money life makes you happy (or unhappy)? Do you finally want to get to a point where money no longer keeps you up at night? Or are you a person who wants to make sure the money you do have takes you as far in life as it can?

I strongly believe that by combining the desire to succeed with financial preparedness, you can build and live the life that you want. If you are a person who believes that the more you know about money and the more you commit to staying on top of your finances, the easier your life becomes, then I really hope we can work together. Financial planning has its limitations, just like everything else in life. Striving for balance is important. Financial planners focus a lot on saving money, but the truth is that you need to live and enjoy your life and feel good about your money decisions. I hope to become your guide through that process.
