Kathleen (Kate) Cote, CFP®, RLP

About Kathleen (Kate) Cote, CFP®, RLP

Kate began her financial career in the trenches at Fidelity Investments, the fourth largest mutual fund and financial services group in the world. She quickly advanced into leadership positions, managing an operations team, working in problem resolution and navigating the 2000 and 2008 financial crises.

Although she loved helping people work toward their financial dreams, she realized that just focusing on the investments wasn’t enough. She wanted to provide a service that not only delivered investment results but helped clients with their entire financial picture including; insurance, benefits, debt, taxes, estate planning and retirement planning. To realize her vision and truly help clients, Kate established Red Clover.

Kate begins each client engagement by first learning about what is important to her clients, their values, the essential elements they need to live their best life now and then she works with them to build the financial infrastructure to support that life. After all financial planning should be about you, not your money. She is adept at connecting all the dots for clients and asking the hard-hitting questions so that they fully understand and appreciate all the pieces and parts of their financial wellness equation. In short, Kate helps her clients find a balanced approach to living, spending, saving and investing that is true to them.

Anthony T. Reynolds, CFP®, ChFC, MBA

About Anthony T. Reynolds, CFP®, ChFC, MBA

I’m Anthony Reynolds, the founder of CoreTegic Capital Wealth Management. I’ve been in this business for more than a decade and I’m still as passionate as the day I started. Why? Because I get to connect with people and hear their stories, dreams, and challenges, and then work with them to create a wealth management plan perfectly tailored to their lives.

After more than 20 years of service in the Army National Guard, I have plenty of experience as a problem solver. It is my honor to work closely with my clients to develop, manage, grow, and protect their assets, no matter what chapter of life they are in. I am also a Certified Financial Planner(™) with a master’s degree in business administration from The University of Iowa.

When I’m not meeting with clients or finding new ways to grow my knowledge and better serve my clients, I enjoy running, exploring breweries, overlanding, exploring new whiskies and cooking my signature chicken fettuccine alfredo.

Matthew D. Porter, CFP®, J.D.

About Matthew D. Porter, CFP®, J.D.

Hi, I’m Matt. My job as a financial planner is to make your life simpler. To help you efficiently and effectively narrow down your options, so you can make the right decisions. And be confident in those decisions for the long-term. Financial planning and investment management are often muddied by unnecessary complexity (usually in an effort to sell you something). It doesn’t need to be this way.

I began my career in the financial services industry in 2003 as an analyst with the due diligence law firm Snyder Kearney, LLC (Columbia, MD). At Snyder Kearney, I reviewed public and private securities offerings and evaluated national securities sponsoring companies, focusing on real estate investments and non-traditional investment products. It was there that I realized that I wanted to know more about the practice of law and a lot more about the pretty co-worker in the cubicle next to me, Sylvie.

I earned my law degree in 2007 from the University of Baltimore School of Law and married Sylvie in 2008; further proof that education and personal relationships are the investments that produce the best returns.

After law school, I practiced law with the firm David Albert & Associates, LLC (Bethesda, MD), focusing in estate planning and administration, guardianship administration, taxation of estates and trusts, and business formations. There, I recognized that helping clients through complicated and often stressful issues was intellectually stimulating and emotionally fulfilling.

In 2010, I opened Patuxent Financial Partners, LLC, registered as an Investment Adviser with the State of Maryland in 2017.

Here, I leverage my legal background to provide clients with value-added insight in the overlapping areas of estate and financial planning. More importantly, as a personal financial planner and small business owner, I can build lasting relationships with clients and their families; these connections make my work fulfilling, because client success becomes intertwined with my own.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and hold the FINRA Series 65 securities registration.

Raised in Columbia, Maryland, I graduated from McDaniel College with a bachelor’s degree in English. When I sneak out of the office and escape from my phone, I enjoy fly fishing, reading, and hiking with my wife, son, and our Siberian Husky, Lou.
