Eric Ross, CFP®

About Eric Ross, CFP®

I’m Eric Ross, CFP®, Founder and Principal of F2 Wealth. I’ve served as a senior leader during my career as a management consultant and wealth advisor at global firms and boutique firms. Over the course of my career I’ve had the opportunity to serve hundreds of individuals and families seeking to be stewards of their financial lives. I’ve been a speaker at financial industry conferences and my expertise has appeared in national media outlets.

I’ve learned during my career that most of the financial advice industry is focused on sales not service, on the company’s wealth not your personal wealth, and getting bigger – not better. I founded F2 Wealth to change this. F2 Wealth is purpose built to serve you and help you live your best life.

I volunteer as a Certified Business Coach at Flywheel Social Enterprise hub where I help entrepreneurs successfully launch their businesses. I’m also highly engaged in the financial planning community having served in leadership roles at national organizations and participating in the financial planning student program at The Ohio State University where I also serve as a mentor in The Fisher College of Business.

I’m excited to meet you and to help you lead a confident financial life.

About Wade Calvert, CFP®, CVGA

What does wealth mean to me?

Wealth to me means freedom. Specifically, I believe that you are “free” when the cash flow from your investments is enough to cover all your essential expenses. When you reach that point, you have the freedom to choose how you want to spend your time. Maybe it is going on a family vacation, or perhaps it is pursuing a passion project; whatever drives you and energizes you, you are now able to pursue that without having to think about the financial implications of a particular decision. In my mind that is freedom.

What inspires me about the work I do?

Ever since I was a child, I have been fascinated by investing and the markets. My mother joined an investment club when I was 13 years old, and I have been immersing myself in information ever since. My experience was unique, and unfortunately, most people never learn about finance or investing. Our schools fail to teach this critical skill.

I have a passion for investing and for teaching people about the markets. I get inspired by being able to share a new way of investing, focusing on cash flow, that many people have never experienced. I believe this empowers people and makes them better overall investors.

Why do I work with business owners?

Entrepreneurs and business owners think differently. They are go-getters and calculated risk-takers. They have different needs than other individuals. Different needs require different guidance.

My father ran his own lifestyle business for many years, and it allowed him to live a comfortable life. However, when he was ready to exit no one was there to guide him through the process. Most financial advisors get paid by managing assets, yet most business owners have most of their wealth tied up in their business. The traditional advisory model is broken.

I have worked tirelessly to create a new model that allows me to work side by side with business owners. The result is creating a more resilient company that allows the owner to maximize the value of their company and to exit confidently, whether it is in 1 year or 20 years.

Fun fact most people may not know about me:

I enjoy hiking and traveling and try to visit at least one new national park every year.

About Dawn Mabery Chestnut, CFP®, MSPFP, MPAS™, CFEI

Financial advice can be intimidating and complex, but I’m not your average financial advisor. I strive to make managing money simpler by speaking plainly (no jargon!) and offering genuine help instead of hard sales tactics. I prefer a more informal approach – without the stuffy suit.

When I’m not crunching numbers, you might find me tending to my backyard garden with my ducks waddling around, jogging (though trotting is more accurate), or biking with friends – an activity made even better at night thanks to colorful glow-in-the-dark lights we put on our wheels. My recent fascination is learning to sew clothes. I also have an amazing and supportive husband.

I am a natural planner and numbers lover, so it’s no surprise that I became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with a master’s degree in personal financial planning. I actually enjoy pouring over document details and making sense of the data. To me, it’s like putting together a puzzle. My favorite class in school was accounting – numbers don’t scare me. Beyond that, my work allows me to get to know people – their values, goals, and challenges, beyond their paperwork.

My brief behind the facts and figures journey is this. Growing up in a large family where money was tight inspired me to teach basic financial literacy voluntarily. My adult students wanted advice on retirement or social security (more info than the basic curriculum provided). This lit the spark for me to start my financial planning business! I still teach financial empowerment in underserved communities by contracting with local non-profits. I’ve had my own business for over ten years.

These experiences taught me that many people can find money talk difficult and sensitive. I’m here to provide honest, objective, and judgment-free advice for your money questions (big or small). No question is too embarrassing for me – I’ve made my share of money missteps too and I also just didn’t know a lot about money because it was not taught to me.

As a fiduciary, I’m committed to putting your needs first. With your commitment, follow-through, and patience, I can help guide you through the confusing world of money so that you can make informed decisions in reaching your idea of success.

Thank you for considering me as your advisor. Call me for a free discovery call where you can share with me about your financial needs, and I’ll share with you about my services.

Will Hullinger, CFP®

About Will Hullinger, CFP®

I work with individuals, couples, and families to create confidence and peace of mind in their financial lives through strategic planning. I consider it both a privilege and rare opportunity to know my clients on such a personal level—and witness as they live out their deepest values and aspirations. My expertise is in equity compensation: how to take it, reduce taxable implications and diversify from the concentrated position tax-efficiently.

My journey in the financial industry began at Anderson University, where I majored in finance and minored in information technology (and played soccer). After school, before fully launching into finance, I held various roles, including network administration in D.C., church planting in AZ, and business valuation and litigation support in Detroit. These all served as informative experiences that eventually led me to my career today.

I transitioned into financial services at a Detroit-area hedge fund, where I wore several hats as controller, COO, and compliance liaison. After this, I served as a chief operating officer at another registered investment advisor serving ultra-high-net-worth families and institutions. Before starting Verity Wealth Partners, I was an advisor at a Detroit-Metro registered investment advisory firm for four years. I left in early 2020, fueled by a desire to spend more time with my family, engage clients on a deeper level, and make a greater impact in the city of Detroit. Starting Verity during a worldwide pandemic is my most significant professional achievement and challenge in life.

I was born and raised in a small town in Southwestern Michigan as the youngest of 2 children. I made my way to Detroit by way of Indianapolis, Washington D.C, and finally Tucson, AZ. I met my wife, Jen, at the University of Michigan, where I attended before transferring to Anderson University.

In 2013, Jen and I moved from the suburbs to the city of Detroit. We now attempt to maintain the peace in our home and keep our sanity while raising our four (mainly adorable) children, Scarlet, Eli, Emmeline and Marcus. When I’m not working, I exercise regularly, golf occasionally, BBQ and smoke meat, and savor quiet evenings sipping scotch.

Matt Miner, CFP®

Matt Miner, CFP®

I work best with professionals, entrepreneurs, and families contemplating how to make work optional – whether at age 35 or 65!

I help clients bridge the gap between knowing and doing. Miner Wealth Management clients are confident that whatever life throws at them, they have a plan and a caring and competent professional in their corner. I love when clients tell me, “After our meeting, I slept the best I had in a week!”

I help clients tackle life’s money questions – “How do I make the best use of my income?” “We’re growing our family. What should we think about?” “How can I get the taxing authorities out of my wallet – even just a little bit?” “How should I think about this pivotal time in my business?” “When can I retire?” “What’s the best way to plan for stock options and RSUs?” “I’m getting divorced, which is awful. How do I cope with the money part, too?” “How can I eliminate my student debt?”

I earned my MBA in the full-time program at Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in Durham and my undergraduate degree in Finance from Arizona State University in Tempe.

After Fuqua, my wife Charity and I repaid our $225,000 in b-school debt in about three years. Through that journey, I began helping people with personal finance and wealth management. In 2018, I left traditional corporate work to become a financial advisor. I launched Miner Wealth Management in August 2021.

Charity and I live in Raleigh with our three amazing and entrepreneurial children. I serve MBAs, Entrepreneurs, and High-Income clients throughout the US.

Miner Wealth Management is a North-Carolina Registered Investment Advisor in Raleigh, NC. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
