I’m Matt – the President of Haystack Financial Planning, a Registered Investment Advisory firm in New York. As a financial planner who focuses on people with disabilities and special needs, I have found the perfect way to merge financial planning with my passion for serving others.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™️ professional and fiduciary that operates on a fee-only basis. I earned my MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business and earned a Finance degree from The Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University.

I currently live in New York City with my wife and our two sons., We enjoy exploring playgrounds, riding the bus and subway (pre-COVID at least), and searching for cool construction equipment. When not spending time with my family or running Haystack, you may find me walking one of the local golf courses, tapping a beat with my fingers (I’m a recovering drummer), searching for the perfect grilled cheese, or contemplating my next home improvement project despite living in an NYC co-op.

About Christopher Dale, CFP®, CeFT®

I help those in grief (and the advisors who support them) navigate financial matters.”

In 2008, at the peak of the recession, I lost my mother to cancer in August and my father to a broken heart in November.

In 2010, my paternal grandmother passed from a stroke.

In 2012, I lost my oldest child.

Based on those tragic events, I changed the trajectory of my career to solely help families and individuals in grief. I decided to further my education in the field of life transitions and grief. I became a Certified Financial Transitionist®, to help clients navigate through major life events and the financial transitions that accompany them.

I’ve helped over 400 families navigate many financial issues and life circumstances such as grieving loss of loved ones.

If my life journey and life’s passion sounds like something that could help you, I would love to walk with you on your journey to Life After Grief.

Quentara Costa, CFP®, MSFP

About Quentara Costa, CFP®

For years Quentara was the unexpected primary caregiver for her father who was diagnosed with Alzheimers. During his transition she continued to work, buy a house, get married, and start a family. She founded Powwow with the intent of helping other families prioritize their goals that are often neglected due to the in-the-moment demands of kids and aging parents. Powwow is fee-for-service, meaning a family’s net worth, relationships, goals, and concerns are discussed and illustrated without the need to invest assets or purchase product. If you have questions related to every day goals, elder care transition, and kids you’ve come to the right place.

Quentara has been featured in numerous publications, including NerdWallet, CBS MoneyWatch, and Financial Planning Magazine. She has also been invited to present on financial planning and elder care topics throughout Massachusetts. Follow her on social media and reach out to schedule a free consultation.
