I’m a native Oklahoman and I’ve spent the last decade working in wealth management firms before launching 1522 Financial in 2022. Previously, I was Chief Investment Officer at an independent Trust Company in Oklahoma.

1522 Financial is a modern wealth management firm that focuses on delivering innovative financial plans without unnecessary complexity. I believe planning should be like most things in life – flexible, and we do not require clients to have me manage their assets in order to work with us. Whether we’re diving into complex financial planning or helping to create investment portfolios to meet clients’ goals – we are a fiduciary.

I’m a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University for both my Masters and Bachelors degrees. I also completed the Executive Program in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. In addition, I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Chartered Financial Analyst designations. I’ve spent most of the last decade building on my knowledge of financial planning, financial markets, and investing in an effort to be the best possible resource for my clients.

Nick’s interest in finance started back in college when he first started learning about stocks. The dynamic nature of investing and the fact that the game is constantly changing made the topic of retirement and investing a constant thrill. Nick spent the bulk of his career working for Fidelity Investments working with individuals and families to create and maintain financial plans. Led by a desire to operate underneath the fiduciary standard, Nick left to join the ranks of the Registered Investment Advisors (RIA’s) who operate under the fiduciary standard, committed to putting the client’s interest first. Nick served as the Director of the Private Client Group for a top 100 accounting firm, overseeing a team of advisors and responsible for the strategy and execution of the division. Led by a strong desire to always do what’s right for clients and the need to create a service model that delivers more value than what is currently being offered in the marketplace meant the only way to do that was to establish Tilli Wealth Management. Today Nick is fulfilled with the meaningful work of serving the clients of TWM, creating and implementing customized plans with clients, allowing them the time and energy to do what they enjoy most. When Nick is not working with clients or on the business, he can be found shuttling his 3 boys to various sporting activities, waving to his wife as they drive by one another to their families’ various activities. After more than a decade of working at my previous firm, where at some point I did just about every job under the sun, I launched Dogwood alongside my good friend and business partner Eric. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, and an Enrolled Agent. I also have served as a board member for the Greater Kansas City Financial Planning Association.

What I enjoy most about being a financial planner is getting to know the families who I work with and helping them see and think about money as a tool that can be used to build a truly fulfilling life.

I am a lifelong Kansas City resident, save the four years I spent in Springfield at Missouri State University. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Lauren. Together we have a beautiful daughter, Remi Job. If I wasn’t a financial planner, I’d probably be trying to find a way to make a living as a hunter, fisherman, and beer brewer.
