About Rosario Chacon, CFP®, FBS®, CSLP®, MBA, CLC, EA

Hi! I am Rosario Chacón. I founded Wealth-Source Financial in 2019 to help professionals like me and my close friends and their families: Often first generation – graduating from college and/or immigrants -, with school debt and/or starting a business, while building a career and a family. In my years at multinational and boutique firms, I learned that one size does not fit all. To better serve my community and clients, I became a fiduciary (CFP®) to work for your best interest, a Financial Behavior Specialist (FBS®) to understand your values and respect your decisions, a Student Loan Planner (CSLP®) because I know first-hand that we must invest in ourselves to make changes in our journeys. I am also a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer (pending approval for my EA certificate by the IRS), which gives me the opportunity to better serve my clients in a holistic and cost-efficient manner.

Ethan Miller, CFP®

About Ethan Miller, CFP®

Hi, I’m Ethan. I became a financial planner and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional because I saw how too many of my peers were simply unprepared for the complex financial decisions that come with living under capitalism. These decisions can have deep, lasting impacts, and I am passionate about working with clients to help set and reach financial goals without falling in one of many potential pitfalls that we all face every year.

My background as a union organizer shapes a lot of my work as a financial planner. I have a deep understanding of the fundamentally unfair structures that govern our financial lives, and in addition to working with clients to plan for and implement long-term financial plans, I continue to be involved in local and national efforts to create a more just economic system.

My clients typically share my concerns about the systemic problems in our economy, and many spend their working lives to change our economic and political systems for the better. I understand the values and priorities of public service and social justice professionals, and as your guide, I want to help you make the most of your finances and tackle topics such as saving, investing, paying off student loans, retirement planning, saving for your children’s education, buying a home, and much more.

By working together, you can be confident in your financial decisions and trust that you are building a sustainable financial future.

Dan Rooker, CFP®, CSLP®

About Dan Rooker, CFP®, CSLP®

I realized not too long ago that early career professionals, especially healthcare providers, are under a lot of pressure to “show up” on their own, with their finances. You could imagine that many of these same individuals are also burdened with student loans. The financial planning industry doesn’t have incentive to provide qualified advice to individuals who not only haven’t had time to accumulate wealth, but also start behind everyone else when you count their debt. It’s this ‘gap’ in qualified advice that, to me, represents an opportunity to provide meaningful service.”

With the advances made in technology in recent years, I also realized that financial planning could be easier, more affordable, and as we hope you’ll soon see, more enjoyable.

Also, your month-to-month commitment is a lot bigger than it seems. We donate a portion of all monthly revenue received to charitable organizations. Thank you!

About Jeff McDermott, CFP®, CSLP®

At Create Wealth Financial Planning our vision is to make financial planning accessible to everyone, earlier in life, to create the greatest impact.

After 17 years working in the world of personal finance I founded CWFP to meet the needs of young families and young professionals as they grow their wealth for the purpose of living a richer life. Even if you are just starting your financial journey and haven’t built your nest egg up yet, Create Wealth Financial Planning is here to serve you. There are no minimum asset levels required to work with CWFP.

We always start by clarifying with you the elements of your ideal life. What are the things you and your family want to accomplish in the next 1, 3, 5, 10+ years? Then we create a plan that helps you align every dollar with a purpose that contributes to the life you are seeking.

When you partner with CWFP in ongoing financial planning, our service calendar kicks in to make sure that your plan gets the continued attention it deserves. Whether that is checking in on certain items at certain times of the year such as tax reviews early in the year and benefits reviews before open enrollment, or ensuring other items are adjusted at regular intervals like investment allocations and savings plans, your living, breathing financial plan is updated as you move through life. Working with CWFP on an ongoing basis means having a partner to keep an eye on your financial picture and more time for you to live your best life.

If you are ready to learn more about real financial planning, take a moment to schedule a free “Get to Know You” meeting to see if we are a good fit.

About Rafael Melendez, CFP®, CSLP

Growing up I never truly understood the power that knowledge of money and money habits holds. As a child to immigrants, money was never an abundant resource. I recall “working” 8 hour days with my father’s landscape contracting company to earn $20. Working mainly consisted of passing out marketing brochures to homes in development and sitting in the truck eating ice cream. I knew that if I went to work for those $20, in three days I would have enough money to buy myself a new video game. So I went to work. This was the first true lesson I had in saving money to achieve a goal of mine.

Life has a funny way of giving in abundance. As I grew up, money came in abundance. I started working my first part-time job and I had extra money in my pocket. Expenses also came in abundance. Therein came my desire to be smart with money. I knew that the things I desired in this life required some form of planning as my life became more complex. No longer could I spend as I earned and expect to achieve all of the success and goals I had set for myself.

Your life is complex and dynamic. Much more than mine was at 10 years old when all I had to worry about was which video game I wanted to buy or what bag of chips I wanted to eat. Your life in your 20’s, 30’s, & 40’s is ever-changing and comes with important financial decisions. I decided to become a financial planner so that I can help you: take that long vacation, help pay for your children’s college expenses, feel confident about purchasing your first home, understand how to repay your student loans and more. My goal in our relationship is to allow you to do the things that you truly love without worrying about how to get there.
