Michael Helveston, CFP®, CRPC®

About Michael Helveston, CFP®, CRPC®

Mike founded Whitford Financial Planning after working in the financial services industry for 25 years. He learned the importance of planning ahead and giving back by observing his parents manage their household finances. Mike wanted to become an advisor so he could help people make informed financial decisions and to make the most of what they have been given.

He started his career with Vanguard in a mutual fund accounting role but quickly realized he wanted to work directly with clients. While at Vanguard he completed the Certified Financial Planner (TM) coursework and first became an advisor.

Mike then transitioned to Rodgers & Associates where he was able to provide more in-depth tax and retirement planning services and helped to build and manage a team of advisors.

Mike has contributed articles to Forbes, Kiplinger and the Wall Street Journal. He lives in Downingtown, PA with his wife and three children. Mike has served the community as a volunteer mortgage counselor with Tabor and a classroom volunteer with Junior Achievement. When he is not helping clients, he enjoys running, playing sports and games with his family, working outside, and listening to music.

Katherine Fox, CFP®

About Katherine Fox, CFP®

I’ve always loved talking about money.

At a young age, I started learning about investing, saving, and how to build and maintain wealth. As my knowledge grew, so did my passion for sharing financial concepts with others in a simple and relatable way.

It was natural for me to end up in the wealth management industry, helping people define and meet their financial goals as an Investment Advisor, Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®, and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ .

While this work was rewarding, I wanted to offer people a chance to reach their financial goals while creating meaning and purpose with their wealth.

Giving back to my community has been a long-standing pillar of my life.

As a fourth-generation member of a philanthropic family that successfully passed wealth and values down across generations, I believe the privilege of holding wealth confers a responsibility to give back and an obligation to investigate how we can create meaningful change in the world.

I founded Sunnybranch based on this principle, with the goal to help individuals and families plan for the future, grow their wealth, and become agents of change through comprehensive financial planning, impact investing, and philanthropic giving.

Steven Smith, CFP®, JD

About Steven Smith, CFP®, JD

Steve’s introduction to financial planning came at a difficult time. A death in the family led to a number of unresolved financial issues. He volunteered to try and untangle what turned out to be a complex situation, drawing on his background as an attorney and a long-held interest in finance. He didn’t know what to expect, but what he found was unexpected: While managing his family’s situation, he also learned how to act as a financial steward—and about the importance of an evidence-based approach to investing.

That experience led Steve to a realization: He wanted to help others pursue their own financial success—and help them avoid the kinds of financial challenges that can occur without a proper plan in place. Steve became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in 2003 and since then has worked to help people build sustainable plans to pursue their financial goals.

Steve has worked with professionals, families, and business owners to plan successfully for their future for more than two decades. For over 25 years, he has served as a board member of numerous non-profits. In addition to his financial planning expertise, Steve has accumulated extensive experience that enriches his financial services, including:

Practicing as an attorney focusing on business and commercial matters, estate planning, succession planning and probate
Starting, operating and selling his own businesses
Acting as a professional fiduciary including asset management and disposition, portfolio management, accounting and tax preparation.
By helping to educate you on your financial options and how they relate to your financial lifestyle, Steve designed RightPath™ Investments & Financial Planning to put you in control. He also places a strong emphasis on on-going expert advice, guidance and review. That way, both you and RightPath understand your continuing—and changing—needs. Steve also believes that, over time, that “educate and review” approach helps you to gain confidence in your decision-making and trust in RightPath’s services. He looks forward to helping you with your wealth management needs.

Education: BA in economics, Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; JD, University of Maine School of Law.
Professional designations: Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Steve has held NASD Series 6 and 63 licenses and is a member of the Bars of Maine, Massachusetts, and Colorado.

CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® and are certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
