About Tim Melia, CFP®, MBA

After working in financial planning for 14 years and then starting, operating, and selling a real estate firm in Washington State, I’m excited to return to financial planning with my own firm, Embolden Financial Planning LLC. My passion for financial planning, financial literacy education, and the desire to help family and friends led me to a career in financial planning, and now I have the opportunity to serve clients in the way I believe it should be done: with transparent, hourly fee-based personal financial advice and comprehensive planning.

Mike Staman, CFP®, MSPFP

About Mike Staman, CFP®, MSPFP

My passion is bringing clarity and confidence about money and a feeling of security to the families who have entrusted me to guide them. I have more than 25 years of experience working with hundreds of families and pair that with deep technical knowledge to help you maximize your financial life.

Working with me, we’ll first address your biggest concerns and agree on what areas to prioritize. Then we’ll identify and address gaps across all aspects of your financial plan. Retirement and goal planning, investments, and taxes are often the primary issues to address, but over time we will also review your estate plan, insurance, employee benefits, and just about any other financial issue that may come up. I especially love working with those who are philanthropically minded, helping them maximize their charitable giving to support the causes they love.

I work on a flat-fee basis, primarily with ongoing relationships but can also provide 1-time plans. I am also “advice-only”, meaning that I do not control or directly manage your investments. I do provide specific and actionable investment recommendations and can help you implement changes. I believe in low-cost, passive strategies and believe that simpler is almost always better. There are no asset minimums, but I find that I work best with mid to late-stage professionals approaching or transitioning into retirement. I primarily meet virtually and can serve clients across the country. Always 100% Fiduciary, never any products to sell you.

Pricing can vary depending on complexity, but usually consists of an initial start-up fee of $2500, then $400 monthly for as long as we agree that you are getting massive value from me. 1-time engagements typically range from $3000 to $5000.

In addition to holding the CFP® designation, I also have a master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning and am a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy®. I live in Newark, Delaware with my wife Maria, and together we have 3 wonderful children, Allie, Zach, and Josh. I am involved in the community with several organizations and non-profits.

Megan Kiesel, CFP®, CSLP

About Megan Kiesel, CFP®, CSLP

Hi, I’m Megan. I’ve had the joy of spending most of my career helping people master their finances in one way or another. I truly enjoy demystifying the concepts of investing and personal finance for people and helping them make confident decisions. I’m a helper and educator by nature. In fact, part of my career was spent working at some excellent Philadelphia-based nonprofits that help people from all kinds of backgrounds overcome financial challenges.

Of course there is a lot more to it than dollars and cents. I believe that the seemingly mundane decisions we make about the money that passes through our lives each day can have a profound impact on our lives and our world. I have a background in social work that I draw on to help people become more mindful about those decisions and make plans that live up to their values, goals, and ideals.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Student Loan Professional. I also hold a Masters in Social Work from Temple University. I live in South Philadelphia with my quirky husband, clever daughter, and cheerful son. On my favorite days you can find me wandering around Passyunk Avenue, slinging kettlebells, or heading down the shore.

Jessica Kirwin, CFP®, MBA

About Jessica Kirwin, CFP®, MBA

Finances have always played an important role in my life, but I never knew it would become my passion. At 25, I quit my high-paying job and had to figure out how to facilitate my first rollover. Before entering the Peace Corps, I figured out how to defer my student loan. After our wedding, I researched where my husband and I could safely invest our money while we were abroad. This might sound like drudgery to some, but for me, they were stimulating challenges.

Over my life, I’ve bought and sold homes, moved across the country and globe. I worked for fortune 500 companies and small independent firms. This path eventually led me to acquire the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. I wanted to make a difference in the financial industry. “The percentage of women CFP® professionals has remained flat at 23% for at least a decade.” The requirements for obtaining the CFP® designation are high: countless hours of coursework, a 6-hour extensive exam, and 6,000 hours of professional experience.

I founded Kirwin Financial because, honestly, there are not enough fee-based financial planners focused on serving my demographic. My husband and I could have used a sounding board along the way.

Kyle Moore, CFP®

About Kyle Moore, CFP®

Kyle is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. He has sworn to a fiduciary oath of putting clients interests above all else. We work with individuals who are looking for a personal relationship, not a cog in the Big Finance machine. We take a very limited number clients per advisor to make sure clients have access to help with decisions both large and small.

We work with young professionals, established professionals, and business owners and their families to help build wealth and achieve peace of mind. We are confident in building solid financial plans that are forward looking while tailoring an investment strategy for each of our clients.

Kyle is happily married to his wife Amber, and they are kept busy by their playful dog, Copper. Outside of work, Kyle is passionate about cooking and exploring the world of wine. In fact, Cru is a wine industry term used in France to describe vineyards of superior quality. When building his company, Kyle felt this aligned with his objective in the financial industry.

Jonathan Huss, CFP®

About Jonathan Huss, CFP®

Being the son of a CPA, I have always had a keen interest in finance. Along with my other two siblings, I spent a few tax seasons in my father’s office helping where I could and learning the basics of the tax universe. After my time at Virginia Tech, I spent 5 years in Northern Virginia in the hospitality industry, from country clubs to selling wine (fun!!). After the arrival of my first daughter, my wife, Emily, and I returned to our roots in Richmond. I joined his father at his firm in 2018 and made quick work of learning the financial planning world. My goal is to take the questions and stress out of my clients’ financial situation, so they can live the life they’ve always wanted. I believe that everyone should have access to a financial planner, whether they have substantial assets, or are just starting to save. You’ve got questions, the Hussmen have the answers!
