Harrison Hinz, CFP®

About Harrison Hinz, CFP®

As we learned in 2020, nurses are a pillar of our everyday lives. They spend their careers helping others. Thank you, nurses, for what you do!

My wife is in nursing school and comes from a family of nurses. We have three kids now and hope to have some more down the road. With similar life experiences, combined with the CFP® designation, I both understand your struggles as a nurse and help you find a more clear direction on where you want your finances to go.

I specifically work with nurses that have young children or plan to have children in the next 5 years. Together we prioritize financial goals, discuss saving for child expenses, review cashflow/tax opportunities, plan for retirement, evaluate/establish investment portfolios, and navigate the ever-changing financial world.

I love being able to help nurses understand their financial picture and establish a plan for their future.

Are you ready to take control of your finances? Let’s Talk!

Nate Baim, CFP®, MBA

Nate Baim, CFP®, MBA

My name is Nate Baim, and I’m a financial planner who enjoys helping Millennial professionals, families, and recent graduates with advanced degrees plan their pursuits. You will quickly learn I am interested in learning about your desired pursuits. I will work with you to best understand how to manage your financial responsibilities and risks within the context of your goals. My process will help us understand how each of your goals will impact your pursuit and bring clarity to your unique circumstance. Because I believe in ongoing financial planning, I place a strong focus on actionable strategies, accountability, and monitoring of your ever-evolving plan.

For a long time, I was interested in the financial planning profession. However, I was turned off by the stereotypical pushy salesmanship reputation accompanying the title “financial advisor.” So, when I chose to establish Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC, I resolved to do it differently. I designed Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC, to serve the interest of our clients. I take great pride in that we are an independent firm not beholden to selling products. As a Fee-Only firm we are focused on providing our best advice.

My pursuit thus far has been focused on exploration, education, and growth. After graduating from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a finance degree, I had a strong desire to explore and travel. I moved away from my home state, Indiana, to volunteer with AmeriCorps. Here I served to work on and led back-country trail maintenance teams. This led me to become interested in the intersection between sustainability and finance. Thus, I went back to school, and I earned an MBA at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management, focused on sustainability management and investment finance. Before launching Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC, I worked in Oregon’s Silicon Forest for a Fortune 500 company as a strategic financial analyst for a large semiconductor company. On my weekends, you will often find me someplace away from the city, climbing, hiking, backpacking, camping, or exploring with my wife and daughter.

About Tyler Hackenberg, CFP®, EA

As a Catholic, you look at money differently: it’s not your own but rather a gift from God to be used with prudent discernment.

And you need a financial advisor who views it the same way.

At Drexel Day Financial, you’ll receive financial advice from a faith-based, non-judgemental perspective – because I share your same values and can help you chart a course towards God’s future.

AUTHENTICALLY CATHOLIC – As a Catholic financial advisor, my passion is helping other Catholics eliminate financial barriers to living out their vocations. That’s why all of the services are aligned with the USCCB’s guidelines for investing your money morally.

INTO THE DEEP – How much easier would it be to answer God’s call if your finances were aligned with your spiritual goals? God is the ultimate planner, and my job is to help you discern and put that plan into action through structures that enable you “put out into the deep” and trust His providence.

Kelly Klingaman, CFP®, RLP®

About Kelly Klingaman, CFP®, RLP®

Hi there, I’m Kelly – financial advisor for high-achieving professional women and their families, particularly those women in their early to mid-career working in the finance and tech industries. You’ve got a busy life and you’re juggling a lot. Together we can navigate your high-income years and get clear on how to live a great life using money as a tool.

Professional:
Prior to founding KKFP, I spent nearly 12 years building a career in the investment management industry at Dimensional Fund Advisors, a large asset manager whose long-term approach to investing relies on financial science instead of attempting to guess where markets are going next. Most recently I was a Regional Director and Vice President on the sales team and Lead Chair of the Women’s Inclusion Network for employees.

I received a degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business, and I also hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Registered Life Planner® designations.

Personal:
I’m a born-and-raised Texan and have called Austin my home for 15 years. My husband Matt and I have two young kiddos, plus our “first-born” – a German Shorthaired Pointer. On the weekend you’ll find our crew hiking the trails around town and stopping at Tacodeli for lunch, and in the evening we like to put on a Star Wars movie and make homemade pizza.

As for me, my favorite ways to stay active are playing sand volleyball at Aussie’s and paddleboarding on Lady Bird Lake. And while I don’t do the cooking (thanks Hubs!) our pantry is always stocked so I can bake my famous chocolate chip cookies – ask me about the recipe sometime!

My Why:
If you’re a professional woman, I understand how it feels when there are never enough hours in a day, and how overwhelming stress often accompanies the balancing act of our personal and professional lives. On top of that, the path to career success is often fraught with roadblocks that men, on average, never face.

One area in particular that never gets the attention it deserves from successful professional women? Their personal finances. What’s worse is the financial services industry tends to neglect this need because it wasn’t designed with women in mind. A big factor: most financial advisors are men. The CFP Board recently reported that only 23.4% of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals are women, a number that has hovered steadily around this point for over a decade.

My own experiences and observations pushed me to want better outcomes for women in the corporate world, so I built a business to offer customized financial guidance with all of their needs in mind.

This is the time to start optimizing your high-income years and make sure you’re using your financial resources effectively in order to enjoy life now and the journey ahead.

About Ginger Ames, CFP®, Enrolled Agent, CDAA™

We all hear whispers within us. They might guide us to a new career, towards a creative peak, or away from something at odds with our values.

What we do with them is the bigger question. Ginger Ames founded Whisper Financial to help fellow creatives listen to their whispers and use the power of financial planning to express their creativity without financial limitations.

Ginger’s professional life has delved into the artistic and business worlds, working as a glassblower and property manager. As she listened to (and ignored) her whispers, she developed a keen understanding of how a financial plan can support and enable one to create more deeply and truly.

Ronnie Colvin, CFP®

About Ronnie Colvin, CFP®

I spent 31 years climbing the tech career ladder, starting out doing simple data entry, through tech support, network engineer, and Director of IT. If you check my LinkedIn profile, you’ll see I went through a wide variety of industries including DoD, NASA, consulting, petrochemical and telecom manufacturing.

I lived the life of the W2 tech employee, maximizing my salary, benefits, stock options, etc, and when I married another tech employee we had to figure out how to coordinate our benefits most effectively, get our retirement funds balanced properly, insurance issues, even estate planning.

Now that we’re older, we’re also dealing with caring for aging parents while navigating our own lives. I know what it’s like and now I want to help others get through it as well. Not necessarily the executives (though I’ll help them too), but the front-line engineers, scientists, accountants, marketing staff, tech support – all the people who do the day-to-day work in tech who have financial questions and problems to solve are the ones I’m here for.

About Scott Vance, CFP®, EA

I served in the Army for 22 years before retiring and pursuing a career in financial advising. As someone who has transitioned from the military to civilian life, I have personally worked through many military financial questions such as Thrift Savings plan questions, Military Retirement benefits, VA disability benefits, taxes on military retirement and survivor benefit plan. This experience inspired me to help people just like you navigate your way to a successful military retirement and financial life.

My specialty in taxes enables me to uncover military-specific savings that often go overlooked. As a fee-only, independent advisor, I pride myself on simplifying your life, not adding to it.
