Andy Gerhartz, CFP®, MSPFP

About Andy Gerhartz, CFP®, MSPFP

Andy developed his interest in personal finance early on in his childhood. What started out as picking stocks and following the financial markets, to reading books about real estate and rental properties, would ultimately develop into a passion in financial planning with a focus on helping retirees.

He has always believed that reaching financial freedom is one of the single greatest accomplishments that one can achieve for themselves and their family.

Prior to joining BTGRP, Andy worked for a reputable financial firm for over a decade, where he managed a large client practice made up of high-net-worth clients, providing portfolio management advice and financial planning. He was excited to transition to an RIA that will limit the number of clients in the practice in order to deliver the highest possible value to each relationship.

Andy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, a Master’s Degree in Personal Financial Planning, and most notably he is a Certified Financial Planner™. He also holds Securities Licenses 7, 63, and 66.

Andy has an athlete’s background with an underdog’s mentality. He played Division 1 college baseball, during which time he went from a walk-on to an all-conference senior captain. While age has slowly crept up, and now it’s just men’s league softball, he can still wow the crowd! Originally from Milwaukee, WI, Andy now lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, 11-year-old stepson, and their 5-month-old son

Alex Perkins, CFP®

About Alex Perkins, CFP®

Financial planning is more life planning than anything else.

It took me a while to learn this but it’s 100% the truth. If you are not happy or healthy enough to enjoy your wealth, then why did you work so hard to accumulate it?

My job as your advisor is to help you make the right decisions at the right times. It’s to help you pass your hard-earned portfolio to the next generation without paying an excessive estate tax. It’s to help you spend down your portfolio the right way. This is where most of the mistakes are made within retirement income planning. I’m going to help you reduce your lifetime tax bill which allows for greater portfolio longevity and higher end-of-life values. I’m going to quarterback relationships with your CPA and attorney to ensure your financial life is free of any blind spots I’m going to help ensure you don’t outlive your money in retirement.

This is absolutely a passion of mine and I consider it my calling.

This is a second career for me which has been helpful to provide perspective on what is important in life: family, friends, experiences and community. I graduated with an engineering degree from Purdue University and spent the first five years of my working life as a strategy consultant for Accenture. Here I learned how to listen, analyze, research and collaborate, all things I still do today. I then spent many years successfully advising high-net-worth clients at several well-established firms.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional, board member of the Rotary Club of Fishers, member of the Estate Planning Council of Indianapolis, and member of NAPFA, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. Members of NAPFA must abide by a strict fiduciary standard and are fee-only financial advisors.

I live in Fishers, Indiana yet help families like you all around the country. I married my dream girl from high school, Kaycee, and have three beautiful children: two boys and a girl.

My personal attention to helping you plan and to make smart financial decisions will give you peace of mind. That’s why I used the words “Wealth Advantage” in naming my business since I am confident my services will provide you with an advantage over other financial advisory firms.

Zack Swad, CFP®, CWS®

About Zack Swad, CFP®, CWS®, BFA™, AWMA®, AAMS®

Swad Wealth Management specializes in retirement planning for people age 50+. On the surface level, I help people with their financial planning and investment management needs.

But, in a way, retirement planning is kind of dumb.. At the least the way that most advisors do it right now. The idea of waiting until some arbitrary age to pursue your true passions and enjoy life while stopping all meaningful work all at the same time doesn’t really make sense.

That’s why I’m different. I guide people through a process to help them get crystal clear on their vision of their most ideal life. We determine what might get in the way and find solutions to those things. Then, and only then, do I create a financial plan that is specific to them and has those hopes, dreams, and goals as the foundation of their plan. I want a plan that will help impact their lives for the better today while still preparing for tomorrow.

People usually come to me because they feel burnt out at their jobs or business or because they are getting near retirement and are anxious about it, both for financial reasons and personal reasons such as social connections. They’re typically very successful and have grown their wealth and made a lot of good financial decisions. However, they are concerned about making a big change because of the money and because a big change can be quite daunting. At the same time, because their lives are so busy and hectic, they don’t have the bandwidth or energy to figure it all out on their own.

I started Swad Wealth Management because I want people to feel financially confident so they can live their most ideal lives, their “dream retirement” so to speak, sooner rather than later.

I always encourage people to check out my eBook, “15 Retirement Planning Tips for People Age 50+,” which can be downloaded for free on my website: www.swadwealth.com.

I started this company after being with a Fortune 500 brokerage firm for the past almost 11 years. Before I left, I managed a practice of around $800 million dollars of assets across about 300 client households.

On a personal note, I’ve been in Petaluma for the past 9 years and am getting married in July to my beautiful fiancé, Elise Moseley! In my free time, I enjoy playing guitar, singing, piano, traveling, and going to the theatre.
