About Katie Brewer, CFP®
Hi. I’m Katie Brewer, CFP® and I started Your Richest Life because I believe that busy individuals working to balance their professional and personal lives should have access to a financial coach who specializes in what they need.
When you’re a professional under 55, you’re juggling a high-intensity job along with the demands of life and family. Financial planning can easily fall to the wayside, but there isn’t a better time for you to be making financial strides.
Whether you’re a doctor, an attorney, a project manager, or an IT and business professional, I understand your struggle to make time for your finances, and I’d like to help.
I work with you to relieve money-related stress by helping you clarify your goals, identify and eliminate obstacles to those goals, and create an action plan to achieve them. I provide comprehensive financial coaching through fee-only services.
Since I don’t sell any products, I am free of the conflicts of interest that can arise from those arrangements. I have only one person to answer to for the work I do – you!
Together, we will develop a plan to put you in charge of your financial future. You don’t have to feel afraid about your money when you are in control of it!
I’ve been fortunate to accumulate over 15 years of experience working with clients and their finances through some of the most forward-thinking organizations in finance.
The Your Richest Life philosophy has been shaped through experiences with technology pioneer LearnVest as well as smaller boutique firms that focused on high net worth individuals. This philosophy includes comprehensive financial coaching and fee-only services.
I was just crazy enough to pursue my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Certification and my MBA while working full time because I was so focused on achieving my goals, so I understand the passion you have behind achieving yours. And I have the skill to help you balance your current goals with your long term needs.
With my expertise, I can help you with retirement planning, figuring out where that pesky hole in your budget is, purchasing your first or second home, evaluating your employee benefits, and plenty more.
Along the way I’ve built some credentials that give me the expertise I need to do a great job for my clients:
-Completed educational, exam, experience and ethics requirements to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
-Received my MBA from Texas Tech University (while working full time!)
-Completed Personal Financial Planning coursework at Southern Methodist University
-Received my Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University
-Quoted in The New York Times, Forbes, and Yahoo Finance
In addition, it’s important to me to do something to help the next generation, so I volunteer with Junior Achievement to teach financial literacy.
On a personal note, I live in the Dallas area, but I’m originally from Austin and get back there whenever I can. I met my husband at the Mexican food joint where we both worked while in college and it was love over guacamole. We have a 10-year old daughter who’s a Lego maniac.
When I’m not coaching my financial clients or spending time with my little family, I like to sing alto in a philanthropic choir, hang out with my adopted greyhound Fran, and get outdoors for a hike or a concert whenever I can.
If you’d like to talk to me about financial planning for Gen X and Y, please set up a FREE consultation with me at https://yourrichestlifeplanning.com/schedule/
