Aaron Agte, CFP®

About Aaron Agte, CFP®

I specialize in helping families make better financial decisions related to stock options and RSUs.

I know we’re saving enough for retirement in 401k’s, but my wife and I still have serious conversations about how to use her company stock to help live the life we want. Our issues require significant financial planning that firms focused on AUM can’t help with.

In my free time, I coach my three kids sports teams, play softball, golf, ski in Incline Village, and work on the NYTimes Crossword puzzle with my wife, Jessica. If you ever see me out and about, I’m the guy wearing something UCLA, Chargers, Padres, or Warriors.

Darren Straniero, CFP®

About Darren Straniero, CFP®

My professional purpose changed when my wife and I were blessed to go from having 1 child to 5 children in just 2.5 years. That wasn’t built into our financial plan!

Today, I help parents and families make sense of and maximize their financial lives. What I’ve found is that even some of the smartest people make small, consistent mistakes with their finances. And over time, these mistakes – if left unchecked – can cost you thousands of dollars in excess taxes, fees, and opportunity cost.

By providing direction and accountability in my clients’ financial lives, I help them get the right answers to their questions before problems arise. In short, I manage the financial future for you, so you can spend more time today focusing on the other meaningful areas of your life.

I’m a Certified Financial Planner® professional who has spent the last 10+ years in the financial services industry. My practice revolves around three key phrases:

-Life is NOT a straight line (see above: 4 kids in 2.5 years!)
-Focus on factors YOU can control
-Do well. Be well. Financially

You’ll find me talking about these a bunch in my blog.

There’s more to life than work, though.

My wife, Jill, and I were married in 2008. We have five kids: Jackson, Thomas, Charley, AnnaMay (twin girls), and Sutton. We love watching our kids play sports and both Jill and I coach their teams – sometimes we even coach together! We also love to go the beach and we spend time in the summers in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

If I’m not managing the future for clients or with my amazing wife & five kids, you might find me coaching, cooking, golfing, or playing cribbage.

Andy Mardock, CFP®, MBA

About Andy Mardock, CFP®, MBA

Andy is the founder and president of ViviFi Planning. He was inspired to create the firm to bring exceptional financial advice to young professional families that, without multi-million dollar portfolios to invest, have long been ignored by the financial industry.

Over years of listening to financial stories and experiences, Andy heard the phrase “I wish I would have known” too many times. ViviFi Planning was born out of a desire to help peers avoid ever experiencing this regret. Clients working with Andy feel confident about their money decisions and where their financial lives are headed. This impact is far more than a job or a career to Andy; it’s a mission.

Andy is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and has been a financial planner for nearly nine years. He obtained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Financial Planning from California Lutheran University in 2010 and has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oregon.

An adoring father and husband himself, Andy can relate to the ups and downs as well as triumphs and challenges that modern families experience today. In working with Andy, clients benefit from talking with someone who ‘gets it’ because they’re living it. When not helping clients make the most of their finances, Andy and his wife Jessica can be found cherishing their newborn daughter and chasing outdoor adventures on hiking, biking, and skiing trails.

Kyle Hill, CFP®

About Kyle Hill, CFP®

Growing up I had always dreamed of owning my own business. I was first inspired by my grandparents who owned an insurance business in a small Kansas town.

I grew up in Manhattan, Kansas and attended Kansas State University where I studied Business Administration and Leadership Studies. Upon graduation, I moved to Kansas City and married my college sweetheart. I decided to enter the banking industry because I wanted to help people achieve financial life milestones. The bank I worked at was located in a disadvantaged neighborhood with high rates of poverty. It was this job that reinforced lessons I had been taught early in life on empathy, compassion, and the importance of financial independence.

After gaining new perspectives in banking, I joined a wealth management firm where I spent six years in the investment world. It was at this time that my wife and I went through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University, a class that forever changed my perspective on personal finance and altered my life trajectory. I went on to earn a Master of Science in Finance and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification.

When completing my studies I remember thinking to myself, “Why isn’t anyone working with my generation?”. I was routinely told that it could not be done because young people lacked the amount of investable assets needed to be desirable clients. In other words, most financial advisors considered working with young people a waste of their time. This narrative continued to weigh on my mind until I discovered XY Planning Network (XYPN), a network for financial planners catering to younger clients in an objective, fee-only capacity. I have since become a member of XYPN to define my vision of helping younger generations develop a plan to succeed financially so that they may live a great life and do good in the world.

Monthly Fee: $99+/mo
Quarterly Fee: $297+/qtr
Flat Fee: $500+/One Time Engagement
AUM: 0.50% Max ($150 min/annual)
I continue to call Kansas City home with my wife, our two young sons, and our two dogs. When I am not drawing up financial plans for clients, I enjoy attempting to keep up with my toddlers, cheering on the K-State Wildcats, the Kansas City Royals, and the Kansas City Chiefs, and participating in my fantasy football leagues (This year is the year!).

Ryan Stith, CFP®

About Ryan Stith, CFP®

My name is Ryan Stith, and I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. I am also the founder of Pivot Point Wealth. I founded Pivot Point Wealth to help families, like my own, develop a better understanding of their financial lives in a way that provides clarity, simplicity, and purpose in their decision-making. I believe this is best achieved when our decisions around money and life match our values.

We are all on a financial journey guided by the actions and decisions we make along the way. As a financial planner, I feel it is my job to serve as a guide, whether that means helping you discover what values are truly important to you or simply acting as a signpost to point you in the right direction when you come to a crossroads.

On a more personal note…I’m a ginger by birth, planner by nature, and teacher’s husband by choice. I was born and raised in the small town of Brandenburg, KY where I live with my wife (DeAnna), our two kids (Madeline & Henry), and our dog, Penny. I’m a huge University of Kentucky basketball and football fan (Go Big Blue!), as well as loyal English Premier League football follower. In my spare time, you’ll find me outside running, in the garage tinkering and finding any excuse to use power tools, or on a patio enjoying time with friends and family.

Dean Lyman, CFP®, CCFC

About Dean Lyman, CFP®, CCFC

My name is Dean Lyman, and I started Your Financial Partnership due to the financial journey my spouse and I have taken over the past 20 years. I believe all couples should have the benefit of sound financial advice – especially in those times when you have questions, like sending a child off to college. This is when specific knowledge and a coach to help you with the right choices can make all the difference in the long run. This counsel applies to members of all Generations, and I especially love working for couples with children. I will work with you to relieve stress about money and college by answering your questions, helping you solidify your goals, and create an action plan to achieve them. I provide comprehensive financial advice through fee-only services. This means I don’t sell any products, so I am free of the conflicts of interest that can arise from those arrangements.

I have over 20 years of experience working with clients and their finances. I am a Certified Financial Planner ™ which means I’ve passed the rigorous educational and testing requirements as well as required ongoing training to keep me current. I am also a Certified College Financial Counselor (CCFC – https://www.aiccfc.org/Team/Dean-Lyman). With my expertise, I can help you with college planning, retirement planning, debt payoff, figuring out where that pesky hole in your budget is, purchasing your first or second home, evaluating your employee benefits, and much more.

I’m a member of several organizations to both advocate and constantly improve my knowledge:
National Association of Personal Financial Advisors – (https://www.napfa.org/firm/44663/26063)

Charles Ho, CFP®

About Charles Ho, CFP®

I was born in Taiwan, but moved to California when I was 3. I grew up in Silicon Valley, but never saw myself forging a career in tech. I eventually pursued vocational (full-time) ministry, and majored in Pastoral Ministry in college. After I graduated though, I felt I needed to enter the “corporate” work field to be able to relate to people and get a first-hand understanding of how the world worked. I started working in the financial services industry, and have been here ever since!

Working in the financial world, especially in San Francisco, was extremely rewarding but also extremely challenging. The part of me which aspired to serve people and minister to people continued to yearn for more. After 10 years in the corporate environment, I decided it was finally time to blaze my own trail, one that enabled me to fully serve my clients and help people who needed financial help.

I started Legacy Builders Financial to help other families not only articulate what they want their legacy to be, but also to hold their hand as they set forth to create it. I am a fee-only registered investment advisor, and my main goal is to be able to help clients achieve their goals and build their legacy, one step at a time. No commissions, no upselling, no fluff!

Outside of work, I am married with three young children. I love exploring the world through their eyes, whether it be camping, swimming, or the world of video games! I live in the small community of Folsom, and dream of one day selling my home and traveling the country in an RV, although nobody else is on board with that… yet. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories. I’d love to hear yours!
