About Dan Slagle, CFP®

I am one half of the husband and wife team Fyooz Financial Planning (see Natalie Slagle‘s profile).

We are here to help guide you — whether it’s figuring out what to do with your excess savings, merging your accounts, staying on track for retirement or developing your household’s new joint investment philosophy.

Outside of work, I am a marathon runner, avid soccer fan, and always down for a good day trip.

Natalie and I are a married couple who blend our finances together. And despite all of our education and credentials, we understand it is still a difficult task to undertake. Money disagreements are one of the leading causes of separation in our society. But, it shouldn’t be this way! So we took it upon ourselves to help specialize in this area to help other couples along their journey.

We create a safe, structured, and fun environment to have deep conversations about your past and how it translates into your future. We take an interest in your personal life by listening actively and helping you understand the value of where your dollars are being spent and saved. It is our desire to provide you with the confidence you need to live richly together.

After the work day, I’m found exploring new recipes, researching ways to simplify and be more sustainable, and enjoy healing conversations with friends and family.

About Bill Nelson, CFP®, CFT-I™

I started Pacesetter Planning back in 2016 to help couples use their money to create the lives they love – together. I work best with two types of couples:

➡️ Engaged and newlywed couples looking to prepare for their future by setting themselves up for financial success and minimizing the risk of money conflict in their new marriage.
➡️ Couples who fight about money or struggle to make financially-related decisions as a team.

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Financial Therapist-Level I™ Practitioner. I care about the “why” behind your money just as much as “what” you do with it. More importantly, I want you and your spouse to feel confident and empowered by the way you manage money as a team such that your finances become an asset to your relationship, rather than a liability. (See what I did there?)

Numerous studies have shown that financial conflict is pervasive in American marriages and is one of the leading indicators of divorce. There’s no denying that the way you manage money with your spouse can be detrimental to your marriage. But I believe that the opposite is equally true – if you improve the way you manage your finances with your spouse, your marriage will get stronger. I’m here to show you how to make this a reality.
