About Bryan Minogue, CFP®, CFA

I founded Kardinal Financial to leverage my experience and passion to serve growing families, and to do so in an honest, independent, and fiduciary setting. I know the impact financial stress can have on a family and strive to replace this uncertainty with confidence. Every aspect of Kardinal Financial – from the technology to the meeting framework to the fees – has been crafted to serve my clients’ best interests. It’s the financial planning service and approach I am proud to provide.

I have over a decade of experience in financial services. My experience includes serving as the Director of Investment Research at a $2.5 billion wealth management firm and serving as an investment portfolio manager to individuals and families. I have obtained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations. I continue to expand my skillset through industry associations and relentless self-study of articles, podcasts, and books.

I live in Madison, WI with my wife, Maggie, and daughter, Rose. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, getting outside, taking long walks with a good podcast, watching soccer (Manchester United), and hanging out on Peloton (ride with me: miggsy).

Julia Lilly, CFP®, MBA

About Julia Lilly, CFP®, MBA

Julia is a Certified Financial Planner ® who is passionate about providing unbiased, holistic financial planning to her clients.

Julia has spent the majority of her career in various roles within the financial services industry ranging from investment banking, government consulting, higher education financial management, and personal financial planning. All of these experiences have provided Julia with a broad perspective on the power of proper planning.

Following graduation from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain scholar, Julia certainly never imagined that her plan would involve a career in finance. She began her professional journey in the legal world, but quickly learned that she was far more excited about the finances and operations of the law firm where she worked than she was about the legal work. This realization led Julia to pursue her M.B.A from San Diego State University while living in California during her husband’s service in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Since that time Julia has embraced her passion for finances and operations and is constantly seeking to learn as much as she can about financial planning options available today to individual investors. She is an advocate for making financial advice accessible, and believes strongly that there is an opportunity to better serve clients on their path to financial clarity.

Julia founded Ryerson Financial out of her desire to bring a unique financial planning solution to individuals and families looking to organize their financial lives. Ryerson Financial is about more than the dollars in an investment account. The firm is centered on helping clients craft a flexible financial plan that reflects their goals and dreams.

Outside of work, Julia spends most of her time with her husband and three kids. Her family recently moved to the Houston, TX area where she enjoys exploring her new neighborhood, reading, staying active, and volunteering at her children’s school. Julia also serves as a volunteer financial coach.

About Jessica Kirwin, CFP®, MBA

Finances have always played an important role in my life, but I never knew it would become my passion. At 25, I quit my high-paying job and had to figure out how to facilitate my first rollover. Before entering the Peace Corps, I figured out how to defer my student loan. After our wedding, I researched where my husband and I could safely invest our money while we were abroad. This might sound like drudgery to some, but for me, they were stimulating challenges.

Over my life, I’ve bought and sold homes, moved across the country and globe. I worked for fortune 500 companies and small independent firms. This path eventually led me to acquire the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. I wanted to make a difference in the financial industry. “The percentage of women CFP® professionals has remained flat at 23% for at least a decade.” The requirements for obtaining the CFP® designation are high: countless hours of coursework, a 6-hour extensive exam, and 6,000 hours of professional experience.

I founded Kirwin Financial because, honestly, there are not enough fee-based financial planners focused on serving my demographic. My husband and I could have used a sounding board along the way.

John Krehbiel, CFP®

About John Krehbiel, CFP®

Your finances are a highly personal puzzle that can be sorted out, solved and optimized for your life. My goal is to help you get comfortable with your financial decisions by giving you smart, honest advice that aligns with your goals and values.

After getting my engineering degree from CalTech and a Masters in Management from M.I.T., I was a financial do-it-yourselfer for over 25 years.
One day on the radio, I heard Dave Ramsey say, “You want a financial advisor who has the heart of a teacher”, and I thought, “That’s me! I have a passion for understanding and explaining finances to people.”

I founded Krehbiel Financial after 15 years in marketing, engineering and executive management at Harris and Intersil, and 11 years teaching physics at West Shore Jr./Sr. High School in Melbourne, FL. Throughout my careers, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and teaching have been keys to my success in working with people.

I specialize in working with tech professionals and busy couples who realize that their time is better spent focusing on their careers and their families, not the intricacies of financial planning.

When I am not helping people accomplish their goals with their money, I enjoy road biking, bike tourism, traveling, meals with friends, and being a member of Church in the Wild, in Melbourne, FL.

About Martin A. Scott, CFP®

Lasting Wealth Principles was founded with the goal of providing financial advice to married couples and working professionals in their 30’s & 40’s. I believe that this demographic has been overlooked by the financial services industry as most are still in the building stage of their financial journey and have not accumulated large amounts of wealth yet. It is my goal to be the financial planner for my clients “every step of the way.”

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional who holds a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from Seton Hall University. My commitment to being a lifelong learner of financial planning knowledge and getting involved in the profession is shown by active memberships in Association of African American Financial Advisors (AAAA), XY Planning Network (XYPN), National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and Financial Planning Association (FPA) of New Jersey.

Outside of work, I am just a simple guy who spends time with my wife and two sons, which includes going to church, helping with homework, sports practices, or just hanging out at home. Anytime remaining, I enjoy doing different types of volunteer work and watching football.

Charles Thomas, CFP®

About Charles Thomas, CFP®

My name is Charles Thomas. I am a Certified Financial Planner® and founder of Intrepid Eagle Finance. We work with Christian families on their journey to financial freedom.

The first time I ever taught someone about finance was on a school trip to a roller skating rink when I was in the fifth grade. I spent the bus ride teaching a classmate about the value of saving. My career has been spent around the same basic premise: help others to be wise with their finances.

I have been working with people and their money for over 14 years of my career. I have had experience at global financial firms in a wide variety of roles. This diverse experience has included everything from helping people who just received their first paycheck to counseling millionaires in the financial crisis to helping large corporations provide retirement plans for their employees.

I completed a double major at Appalachian State University and hold Bachelor degrees in Music and Marketing. I later earned an MBA at the University of South Carolina’s Moore School of Business.

I started Intrepid Eagle Finance to serve a community I believe has unique needs. Christian families face the challenge of balancing the needs of Mom and Dad, children, work, church and other things craving resources. The financial component of this difficult balancing act can be stressful to harmonize for this kind of family. How do I know this? My family is part of this group too!

That’s why I started Intrepid Eagle. I spend my days helping families like mine who value things like God, Family, and Country. I help families to find financial freedom while honoring what is important for today, tomorrow, and the future.

I help families to find financial freedom while honoring what is important for today, tomorrow, and the future.

I am an active supporter of independent education and homeschooling. My wife and I are active supporters of helping others get started and find success with their own homeschool journey.

When I am not working with other families, I spend time with my own family. My wife Amy and I make our home in South Carolina with our three children. Our family is active in our homeschool each day where we work hard and play hard. We spend our breaks on time outdoors, playing music, traveling, and serving our church family.

Dan Slagle, CFP®

About Dan Slagle, CFP®

I am one half of the husband and wife team Fyooz Financial Planning (see Natalie Slagle‘s profile).

We are here to help guide you — whether it’s figuring out what to do with your excess savings, merging your accounts, staying on track for retirement or developing your household’s new joint investment philosophy.

Outside of work, I am a marathon runner, avid soccer fan, and always down for a good day trip.

Natalie and I are a married couple who blend our finances together. And despite all of our education and credentials, we understand it is still a difficult task to undertake. Money disagreements are one of the leading causes of separation in our society. But, it shouldn’t be this way! So we took it upon ourselves to help specialize in this area to help other couples along their journey.

We create a safe, structured, and fun environment to have deep conversations about your past and how it translates into your future. We take an interest in your personal life by listening actively and helping you understand the value of where your dollars are being spent and saved. It is our desire to provide you with the confidence you need to live richly together.
