Nate Baim, CFP®, MBA

My name is Nate Baim, and I’m a financial planner who enjoys helping Millennial professionals, families, and recent graduates with advanced degrees plan their pursuits. You will quickly learn I am interested in learning about your desired pursuits. I will work with you to best understand how to manage your financial responsibilities and risks within the context of your goals. My process will help us understand how each of your goals will impact your pursuit and bring clarity to your unique circumstance. Because I believe in ongoing financial planning, I place a strong focus on actionable strategies, accountability, and monitoring of your ever-evolving plan.

For a long time, I was interested in the financial planning profession. However, I was turned off by the stereotypical pushy salesmanship reputation accompanying the title “financial advisor.” So, when I chose to establish Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC, I resolved to do it differently. I designed Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC, to serve the interest of our clients. I take great pride in that we are an independent firm not beholden to selling products. As a Fee-Only firm we are focused on providing our best advice.

My pursuit thus far has been focused on exploration, education, and growth. After graduating from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a finance degree, I had a strong desire to explore and travel. I moved away from my home state, Indiana, to volunteer with AmeriCorps. Here I served to work on and led back-country trail maintenance teams. This led me to become interested in the intersection between sustainability and finance. Thus, I went back to school, and I earned an MBA at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management, focused on sustainability management and investment finance. Before launching Pursuit Planning and Investments, LLC, I worked in Oregon’s Silicon Forest for a Fortune 500 company as a strategic financial analyst for a large semiconductor company. On my weekends, you will often find me someplace away from the city, climbing, hiking, backpacking, camping, or exploring with my wife and daughter.

Dan Herron, CFP®, CPA/PFS

About Dan Herron, CFP®, CPA/PFS

I founded Elemental Wealth Advisors because I believe everyone should have access to solid financial planning, period. No one should be turned away just because they don’t have a million-dollar portfolio or aren’t a higher income earner. Everyone, regardless of income or assets, has financial matters that they need to address. Our clients are those who are just starting to get their financial plans in order and who are eager to learn each step of the way!

We take an educational approach to the financial planning process and provide a means for everyone to construct and implement processes to achieve their financial goals. Together, we walk through and implement each aspect of YOUR financial plan. The financial services industry has made it difficult to see all investment costs and expenses. As a fee-only advisory firm, we believe in transparency. There are no hidden fees or surprises. We collaborate so that you will know what is going on every step of the way. This is how financial planning should be.

We work as fiduciaries, offering our clients support in every area of their personal financial lives. I’m also a CPA who looks at your whole picture including comprehensive tax planning. I earned my degree in Economics, and a Masters in Business and Portfolio Management. You’ll find me to be responsive, collaborative and down-to-earth.

When I’m not at the office, you’ll likely find me out running. I’m a Dad to an amazing furkid (below) and sometimes I even enjoy a real movie.
I look forward to connecting!

Jessica Goedtel, CFP®

About Jessica Goedtel, CFP®

Money is a tool for creating the life you want to live, and our purpose is to help you understand how your money can work for you. We are driven to provide financial advice that is free of judgement and shame and is instead focused on empowerment, social consciousness, and personal well-being.
Pavilion Financial Planning’s core market consists of young professionals in their 20s to 40s earning over $100k in salary annually. Our clients want someone to partner with for financial planning, education, and accountability.
We work hard to create an environment of inclusivity where everyone is welcome. We especially love working with women who receive equity compensation (RSUs, stock options, ESPP) as a part of their income package, and women in the online sex work industry.

Jessica became a financial planner because of her passion for personal finance and a frustration with the lack of financial literacy education. She started in the industry beginning in 2013 and learned financial planning working at firms both big and small. She earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 2018. Jessica has a wealth of experience helping clients in all stages of their lives, from right out of college to well into retirement.

Jessica is an avid runner, having run 3 marathons and dozens of half marathons. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Classics & Ancient Mediterranean Studies from Penn State University. A self-confessed nerd (before it was cool), she could easily spend all day discussing Star Wars, Marvel, and Tolkien mythology. She also enjoys reading, baking, collecting fossils, and trying to keep her various plants alive.
